SwanCon XI Progress Report Number Two: Accomodation

The progress report is 12 A4 pages, constructed of 3 A3 sheets folded and saddle-stapled with two staples. A lot of its content is already covered in our posts from the souvenir program book, but here’s a bit about Accommodation (although it’s not spelled that way).

This will be, more than likely, my first and last word to be put to type. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is GREG TURKICH and I am responsible for the accomodation at SWANCON XI, and rest assured that my cream pie should not go for such a high price this time.

There are a few basic things that you need to know about accomodation for the Natcon in 86……

1. There are limited types of rooms available so therefore it will be a case of first in, best dressed.

2. A deposit of one nights Accomodation will be required before any booking is accepted.

3. ONLY the official SWANCON XI booking form will be accepted.

4. Your confirmation of booking will be your receipt. If you do not receive it within one (1) month of you sending in your booking, contact me at the address below.

. Only cheques and/or money orders will be accepted. NO CASH.

6. A late booking fee will apply after 25th February, 1986. So book early.

7. Only one person need book the room. I don’t want to know who else is staying in the room, as long as someone pays.

8. All cheques and/or money orders are to be made payable to SWANCON XI.

9. Officially, you can only sleep as many people in the room as are booked for. Officially, that is.

10. (*) This means that only a limited number of these particular rooms are available, so if you book late you may have to be satisfied with a different room. We will try to do our best.

11. Send all bookings to:   SWANCON XI

For those young ‘uns who may not get the cream pie reference: Swancons used to auction the right to cream pie various members of the committee.
