Here’s digging back through our archive — a progress report from Swancon 5, dated “June 80”. It’s rather letter-paper-shaped: a bit shorter and a bit wider than A4. 14 pages, made of whatever double letter paper size is called (ledger or tabloid, Google tells me), folded and staple-stitched. The cover is slightly heavier stock.
The front cover says
Swancon 5
The 1980 Australian National SF Convention
at the top of the page, and
Swancon Bulletin
Progress Report No. 3
June 80

at the bottom. The cover art shows a rocket ship parked on a pancake-shaped asteroid. From the spaceship, a space-suited figure with antennae has emerged, and is contemplating a robot swan on a small lake on the asteroid. This is the same robot swan that re-emerged in later years — Swancon 15, for example.
The back cover says

There’s a “Postage Paid Australia” mark at the top right. The centre of page has a sticky label bearing a fan’s name and address in dot-matrixed type, suggesting that it was somehow jammed in the post as-is. The bottom half of the cover has the logo of The Faster Than Light Radio Show, “SF News, Reviews, & Music”, and “Vegemite Fandom Australia in ’83”.
The inside front cover has contents and various colophony things:

Their table of contents is lined up better than my transcription, because they used a typewriter and I used non-breaking spaces. (I am a bad person.)
The updated membership list lists members 97 thru 141. A clever wheeze to avoid re-typing.
